O’Brien, Francis “Jr” Gerard

The death occurred peacefully at Souris Hospital on Saturday, August 15, 2020 of “Junior” O’Brien, aged 92. Beloved father of Garry, Frankie (Germaine), Leah (Uwe), Rachael (Mike), Joan, Gerard, Theresa, Ivan (Cindy), Bobby (Brenda), Linda (John), Olive (Kenny), and Kenny (Yvonne). Loving grandfather of 32 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters, Marie Thompson and Lea Hogan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie O’Brien, Helen Dunning, Leo Magennis (Brenda), and Francis (Faye) Magennis; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as extended O’Brien and Magennis families. Predeceased by his loving wife, Rosella; his parents, Emma and Frank O’Brien; his son Eric; granddaughter Natalie; daughters- in- law, Sue and Judy; sons-in-law, Joey, Ronnie and Garry; his siblings, Eileen (Frank ) Dunn, Martin (Marie) O’Brien, Louis (Belle) O’Brien, Jerome (Helene) O’Brien, John Joe O’Brien; parents-in-law, Marian and Terrance Magennis; as well as brothers-in-law, Wilfred Hogan and Johnny Thompson and many members of the Magennis family. Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell. Due to covid 19 restrictions a private visitation and funeral mass will take place. Interment will be at St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Green Meadows.  By personal request, please refrain from sending flowers. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Junior’s memory may be made to St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Green Meadows.
